One often repeated mantra here at DB Sports is our commitment to the development of Irish youth soccer. Whether it’s through football tournaments or coaching clinics, we hope to strengthen the foundations which will see Irish football grow from strength to strength in the years to come.

Today we have more good news relating to such youth development – in partnership with European Elite Soccer we have three coaches who are available to coach your club – an opportunity for both players and coaching staff alike.

The three coaches, Jose Maria, Sergio Hidalgo and Jose Ferer all hail from Spain, promising to deliver all the key coaching methods from one of the world’s leading soccer regions. While Jose Mario and Sergio Hidalgo (available Tuesday and Thursday evenings) are coaches for outfield players, Jose Ferer is a goalkeeping coach, who will be available for goalkeeping coaching on Mondays to Thursdays.

We envisage this as a service whereby clubs can bring in these coaches to improve not only their own players, but their own staff too. Jose Maria and Jose Ferer are both UEFA Pro Licence holders, while Sergio Hidalgo is a UEFA A Licence recipient. Prospective clubs may use this opportunity to improve not just one team within their club, but several.

Each coach has a storied and detailed background in soccer. The aforementioned Jose Maria attained a degree as a primary school teacher, specialising in physical education. He also holds a Masters Degree in Science Research of Physical Activity and Sport.

Meanwhile Sergio Hidalgo He has experience working with teams from Catalonia like U.E Lleida and C.F. Vila-seca who compete for players and resources against clubs like FC Barcelona and Espanyol. He also has experience working in Kuwait as a coordinator and head coach in Vision Soccer Academy for two seasons.

Elsewhere we have the special treat of Jese Ferer, the goalkeeper coach. Ferer has experience working with professional clubs Valencia C.F and most recently developed the goalkeeper training methodology for C.F Torre Levante. Jose has also attained a degree in Sports Science and Physical Education from Universidad Católica de Valencia, San Vicente Mártir.

This really is a unique opportunity for clubs to learn from some international standard coaches with professional grade coaching training. This is an opportunity to improve players and coaches too. Spain remain a world leading figure in the world football scene, especially in terms of key coaching tenets.
