06 Nov The Umbrella 7S: Rugby Made Fun For A Great Cause
RUGBY is a big part of the future plans for DBSportsTours and we are proud to announce our new exciting partnership with The Umbrella 7s
The Umbrella 7s is the main rugby sevens tournament at schoolboy level in Ireland and promises to go from strength to strength in the coming years.
The competition is designed to raise both the profile of sevens rugby and funds for The Umbrella Foundation.
The Umbrella Foundation is a registered Irish charity which helps displaced and trafficked children in Nepal.
Tournament organizers are now deep into preperation for next year’s event in March after a successful 2012.
DBSportsTours managing director David Berber insists: “We are delighted to be involved with such a good cause and a fantastic event – 7′s is one of the fastest growing sports in Ireland”
This year teams from throughout Ireland competed in the Umbrella Cup, Plate and Shield as the Irish rugby calendar gained a noticeable new attraction.
