Futbol Salou has been our European training base here at DB Sports Tours for various forms of team tours and sports trips in recent years, and next spring it will play host to a new incarnation – the Nordic Challenge Trophy, where one lucky Irish side will be selected to compete against our Viking counterparts.

In its inaugural year the Nordic Challenge Trophy looks to bring together top level teams from around Scandinavia and throughout Europe. Here at DB Sports Tours we hold exclusivity for the Irish market, and hope to hear from you about interest in the Nordic Challenge Trophy.

The Nordic Challenge Trophy, otherwise referred to as the NCT, is subject to committee decision before your teams’ application to play will be accepted. Set in the Futbol Salou Camp, accepted teams into the NCT will stay from March 30th until April 2nd in this elite gathering of teams in the picturesque setting of Salou, Spain.

Notably, age groups for the Nordic Challenge Trophy and under 12 and under 13. Training before games will take place on the elite level pitches at the Futbol Salou Camp. Matches will consist of two 20 minute halves, while every participating team will be guaranteed a minimum of five matches.

Within each age group there will be 12 teams. Team registration fee is €300 while player registration is a fee of €369pp. The fees will include your accommodation, food and necessary transport.

Accommodation for this team tour is set in the Cambrils Park and Resort, another excellent organisation we have built a relationship with over the last few years. Situated close to the Reus Airport and the Futbol Salou Camp, Cambrils Park and Resort is the perfect setting for your group to rest up before and after games and training.

Facilities at Cambrils Park and Resort include several swimming pools, a Sports Area which has small football pitches, basketball courts, beach volleyball courts, table tennis tables, mini-golf course, tennis courts, and even trampolines.

The Nordic Challenge Trophy promises to bring together the very best youth teams from throughout the Nordic region of Europe with other special guests from across Europe. The committee selection for this tournament promises only the elite will be permitted to play in this event.
