Ruauri Paton Stars on Hibs Development Squad Debut

Last month we were delighted to tell our readers about a new player on our books Ruari Paton who had signed for Hibernian FC. Today were delighted to provide an update on Ruari, who yesterday made his debut for Hibs’ under-20 Development Squad.

The young Irish striker started up front for Hibs against Motherwell at the Riccarton indoor arena in Heriot Watt University in a 3-1 victory for the Edinburgh based club, with Ruari fantastically scoring twice on the day.

It has been a whirlwind few weeks for Paton, having only signed terms with Hibs in August, as well as joining up with DB Sports Tours, with company co-founder and FIFA licensed agent David Berber helping to seal the deal for the Dubliner.

Those present at the game have reported that former Celtic stars Tosh McKinlay and Willie McStay looked on at the performance and were very impressed with the performance of Paton on his Hibs debut.

Having began his young career at Castleknock Celtic in 2006 it has been a steady rise for the cool headed Dubliner, who then moved onto Shelbourne FC where he starred for several seasons before finally moving onto St. Kevin’s Boys, based in Whitehall.

Having subsequently played for three clubs, albeit all based in Dublin, Ruari has taken his latest and by far his biggest move in his stride, with his successful debut for the under-20’s illustrative of that.

Everyone here at DB Sports Tours would like to wish Ruari continued success at Hibs for the rest of the season. For all updates from Ruari or indeed any of our players you can keep an eye on our busy blog here.
