Ruari Paton makes his Easter Road debut for Hibs under 20 Develoment Squad

Ruari Paton made his debut at Easter Road ”under the lights” last week, on Thursday October 26th for the Hibs under 20 Develoment Squad in the 3rd round Scottish Youth cup match v East Kilbride. Ruari played as the central striker in a closely fought match which Hibs emerged winners by a 2-1 scoreline.

After a contested 1st half, Hibs showed their difference after half time. Ruari played a part in the winner when his shot was blocked by defenders and James Gullan netted the rebound. Ruari played the full 90 minutes and could have had a goal or 2 with chances during the match. He was complimented on his hold up play and link play between midfield and attack. He throughly enjoyed the expeirence and is looking forward to more game time and opportunities with the under 20’s. He has settled into his football career in Edinburgh and has become a Hibee since his move from Ireland. This is good progress considering that last season was seriously impacted with a FIFA “red tape” administration issue over his transfer and also his knee injury in February this year.
