Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption Benefits
Trip Cancellation — If you cancel your trip for a covered reason, the Trip Cancellation benefit in our plans reimburses unused, nonrefundable payments or deposits for the travel arrangements you purchased for your trip.
Trip Interruption — If you interrupt your trip due to a covered reason, the Trip Interruption benefit reimburses you for unused nonrefundable, prepaid travel arrangements and additional transportation costs to join your trip, rejoin your trip, or travel to your originally scheduled return destination.
You can’t cancel or interrupt your trip for reasons not listed in the plan document, unless you buy optional Cancel for Any Reason coverage* or optional Trip Interruption for Any Reason benefits.
*These coverages are available at an additional cost and are subject to certain eligibility criteria.
Trip Delay and Missed Cruise/Tour Connection coverages are also provided in RoundTrip’s plans. They provide benefits that are triggered by specified events detailed in the plan document.

Emergency Evacuations
Our RoundTrip plans include an Emergency Medical Evacuation benefit that covers expenses to transport you to the nearest medical facility where treatment is available if you incur a sickness or injury that is acute or life-threatening during your trip.
Protection for Your Belongings
RoundTrip’s plans provide a Baggage and Personal Effects benefit, which covers your baggage and personal items if they are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed during your trip or while checked with a common carrier.

We ask for your trip cost when we provide a quote for coverage, and it should include nonrefundable expenses for airfare, a cruise, hotel, entertainment, excursions, house/condo rental, and other similar expenses.

When should you buy travel insurance?
It’s best to buy your plan as soon as possible after you make your first payment or deposit for your trip. Why? Certain benefits such as Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR), Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR), and the Pre-existing Condition Waiver are available only if you buy your plan within the specified time.
