November Star Gavin Harford Off To Barca

Gavin, pictured above with his dad Andrew (left) and DB Sports Tours Managing Director David Berber with a copy of his favourite newspaper – the IRISH DAILY STAR – will now be jetting off to Barcelona to see Lionel Messi and co at the Nou Camp.

The dream team of the Irish Daily Star and DB Sports Tours combined in October to offer three lucky youngsters the opportunity to do just that in March.
NOVEMBER’S award winner Gavin and his dad will now be joined by two other monthly winners in being flown to the Spanish city, put up for the night and watch FC Barcelona V Almeria at the Nou Camp on March 2.
We would also like to CONGRATULATE all of the other nominations who featured each Tuesday in Target since we launched the competition at the end of October (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW FOR A FULL LIST).

We have been asking parents, family members or even friends to send the Irish Daily Star a picture and caption (less than 20 words) each week telling them why the young player you are nominating should be Target’s Player of the Month.
DB Sports Tours is of course the premier authority on all things FC Barcelona in Ireland.
Regular visitors to the Nou Camp and Barcelona’s famous academy, La Masia, DB Sports Tours brought the very first Barca coaching clinic to Ireland in 2010.

Hundreds of schoolboy coaches flocked to Carton House to watch legendary La Masia mentor Albert Benaiges tutor some of Ireland’s best players over an incredible weekend in Kildare.
Only months earlier Barcelona had sent Benaiges to represent the club as three of the superstars he brought through their youth system, Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andreas Iniesta, were nominated for the FIFA Ballon d’Or.
