20 May Noe Baba Awarded Contract Extension at Birmingham City FC
It has been a particularly successful few weeks for our DB Sports associated players, and we have more good news today. Noe Baba has been offered a contract extension at Birmingham City FC. The former Fulham youngster has committed his future to the Blues, hoping to emerge as a first-team force next season.
Baba (19) hails from Castlebar, co. Mayo, playing nominally as a central defender known for his surety on the ball and dominating play off the ball. Baba spent two years at Fulham FC before last year moving on to pasture new, for Birmingham City FC.
Following a successful debut season with their youth ranks Baba has been awarded with a contract extension, which he hopes will provide him with the opportunity to once again progress in his burgeoning career.
“I’m delighted to get my new contract; it’s a fantastic club and a great group of players. I’m really looking forward to next season”, said Baba, exclusively to DB Sports.
Such an opportunity inevitably comes with responsibility and even pressure, but it is such pressure in which Baba has thrived throughout his youthful career to date. Baba has been on the international scene for years, despite his tender age.
Baba has represented his country at under-15, under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, notably winning 19 under-19 Republic of Ireland caps alone. Furthermore, he took another stride forward in his international career late last year, making his debut for the under-21 side last November against Norway.
Following the good news DB Sports co-founder David Berber spoke effusively about Baba and his prospects going forward with Birmingham City FC.
“I’ve been working with Noe now for over four years and he is one of the most dedicated athletes I have ever seen. His attitude is second to none and I really feel this next 12 months will see Noe excel to further greatness”, said Berber.
This exciting news comes on the back of Adam McDonnell’s league debut for Ipswich Town, and Anto Breslin’s own contract extension at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
