Netherlands Super Cup 2027: New for Irish Teams, Exclusively with DB Sports Tours
If your club has been looking for a new international soccer tournament for 2027, we have some big news, and we are super excited to share it. DB Sports Tours is now the exclusive partner for Irish teams for the Netherlands Super Cup, a brand-new tournament and a brand-new destination in our portfolio, taking place from 26 to 29 March 2027 in the Greater Amsterdam area. It is a proper international youth football tournament, less than an hour from the Dutch capital, and it lands on Easter weekend. Packages start from €499 per person.
Here is everything Irish clubs, managers and coaches need to know.
What is the Netherlands Super Cup?
The Netherlands Super Cup is a world-class international youth football tournament for boys and girls teams, played at the Lelystad Arena. Teams travel in from across the globe, so your players get to test themselves against different styles of play, not just the teams they see every week in the league.
Everything happens in one purpose-built setting, from the opening fixtures on Saturday 27 March, to the media photoshoot, the cup finals and the awards presentations. No long transfers between pitches, just football.
What is included in the tournament?
Every team is guaranteed a minimum of five fixtures, which is exactly what managers tell us they want from a tournament abroad. Travelling that far for two games is never worth it. Five games give your squad real competition, real minutes and a proper story to bring home.
Alongside the fixtures, every package includes:
- World-class media coverage of the tournament
- A participation medal for every player
- A dedicated account manager
- Email and WhatsApp communication before you travel
- Fundraising support for your club
- Airport and ferry transfers in Amsterdam
- A tournament shuttle bus from your accommodation
The venue has high-quality pitches, good changing and club facilities, and on-site officials and medical support, so you can focus on the game.
Age groups and formats
The Netherlands Super Cup caters for both boys and girls’ teams, in 8-a-side and 11-a-side formats.
- Boys U11 (2016), U12 (2015), U13 (2014), U14 (2013), U15 (2012) and U16 (2011)
- Girls U12 (2014) and U14 (2013)
In every category, players born on or after 1 September of the year before are allowed to play in that age group. Each team needs a minimum of two adults travelling. Spaces are limited and allocated first come, first served, so early bookings are the safest way to secure your age group.
Why we chose the Netherlands Super Cup
The short answer is that our teams keep asking for new places to play, and this is a great one.
Over the years we have taken Irish teams to tournaments in Spain, Italy, Portugal and England, and the feedback is always the same. Clubs love having something different to look forward to. The Netherlands is a country that lives and breathes football, with a strong youth development reputation, and it is a short, easy trip from Ireland.
The decision also comes off the back of the success of our UK International Cup. Irish teams loved the standard of football, the organisation and the experience, and that showed us there is real appetite for well-run international tournaments that are straightforward to get to. The Netherlands Super Cup is run by the same trusted tournament organiser, so we know the quality is there.
Even better, we are the exclusive partner for Irish teams. If your club wants to play in the Netherlands Super Cup, DB Sports Tours is the place to book. It is a new tournament and a new destination for us, and we could not be more excited to bring Irish teams to it.

Accommodation options for Irish teams
We have two accommodation options, so you can pick what suits your squad and your budget.
Holiday Park, 4 nights, self-catering, from €449 per person. Chalet accommodation with a tournament shuttle bus, a swimming pool, a beach, kid’s activities, and a bar and restaurant on site. This is a brilliant option for teams that want to stay together, with plenty of space for the players to relax between games and for parents to join in.
4-star hotel, 3 nights or more, from €699 per person. Premium rooms, breakfast and evening meals included, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a bar and restaurant, plus the tournament shuttle bus. Ideal if you want everything taken care of and a more relaxed, comfortable trip.
Both options are built around the tournament, so travel to and from the pitches is simple. Prices are per person, and flights and ferries are quoted separately in your bespoke itinerary. Final pricing is confirmed once we know your group size.

Make a trip of it: excursions
The weekend is about the football, but you are in the Netherlands, so we would encourage you to see something of it. You can add excursions to your package, including:
- A Johan Cruyff Arena stadium tour, transport included, €49 per person
- Amsterdam sightseeing, transport included, €35 per person
- A day at Efteling theme park, transport included, €91 per person
A stadium tour is an easy win for a group of young players, and Efteling is a great reward day for the whole squad.

Benefits of travelling to a soccer tournament with DB Sports Tours
DB Sports Tours was founded in Dublin in 2010, and we have been organising international soccer tours for clubs ever since. We are a FIFA Licensed Agent and hold IAA licence TA0703, so your booking is in safe hands.
What that means for you in practice:
- More than 1000 tours and over 35,000 travellers, with more than 250 five-star Google reviews from clubs and families.
- Irish know-how. We understand how Irish clubs work, from fundraising to managing parents to getting a big group through the airport.
- One point of contact. Your dedicated account manager handles the planning so you are not chasing flights, transfers and hotels on your own.
- Flexible packages. Build the trip around your team, with flights, ferry options and excursions quoted into a bespoke itinerary.
- Support from start to finish. We are with you before you travel and while you are on the ground.
Why every team should travel to a tournament together
Any manager who has taken a squad away will tell you the same thing. The football is only part of it.
- Team bonding. A weekend away does more for team spirit than a whole season of training sessions.
- Better players. Facing unfamiliar opposition pushes players to think faster and play with more confidence.
- Memories that last. Medals, team photos, stadium tours and late-night chats in the chalet are what players remember years later.
- A boost for the whole club. Parents, coaches and players all come closer together, and the story travels back to the club.
- Independence and growth. For many young players it is their first trip abroad with their team, and that matters.
