NDSL Under-13s Go To Nordic Challenge Trophy

NDSL Under-13s Go To Nordic Challenge Trophy

Much of our news on the DB Sports Tours blog recently has centered toward our international expansion, with specific attention to the growth of the US soccer market. However, today we have news which veers toward our core values and foundations here at DB Sports Tours – the growth of Irish youth football.

Indeed, today we have news of the North Dublin Schoolboy League (NDSL) under-13’s upcoming trip to the Nordic Challenge Trophy, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from March 30 – April 2. The NDSL under-13 select side will get to test their abilities against some of the world’s best youth sides, including the likes of FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Taking place at the Futbol Salou Sports Complex in Spain – essentially our European training base – while accommodation will be set at the picturesque Cambrils Park and Resort. Both the accommodation and playing facilities are of elite quality – ensuring the NDSL under-13’s have the best possible preparation for success in the Nordic Challenge Trophy.

We have worked with the NDSL in the past, often looking to prepare their under-14 sides for the Kennedy Cup. Although a year too early for this group, the Nordic Challenge will undoubtedly lay key foundations for various challenges down the line in their youthful careers.

Although primarily a tournament for Scandinavian sides, the NDSL under-13s will take on clubs from all over the world. Including the European sides of Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine), Vojvadina (Serbia) and Vasalund IF (Sweden), the Irish outfit will get to take on the Japanese side Tokai Japan Elite.

Everyone here at DB Sports Tours would like to wish the NDSL side the best of luck at the Nordic Challenge Trophy later this month. If you would like to arrange a similar football tournament for your club you can contact the office by visiting this page. In the meantime you can also check out our regularly updated blog here.
