McDonnell Travels to Germany with Ipswich Senior Squad

DB Sports Tours’ Adam McDonnell was handed a fantastic piece of news after his successful senior debut against his old team Shelbourne FC.

The Dublin-native teenager was called up to Mick McCarthy’s senior side for this pre-season and has since hugely impressed. While playing a friendly here in Ireland, against Shelbourne in the iconic Tolka Park, McDonnell was quickly involved, assisting for the opening goal before a minute had passed.

Since then he has been involved as Ipswich have continued their pre-season training regime. Following the Dusseldorf game McDonnell (http://www.itfc.co.uk//news/article/mick-mccarthy-post-fortuna-dusseldorf-2554355.aspx) will be hopeful to remain as part of McCarthy’s senior side, who will play the likes of CambridgeTown on July 21st, Peterborough United on July 25th, and Colchester United on July 28th.

Before pre-season elapses McDonnell will finally hope to be part of the squad who will face the former Eridivisie champions FC Utrecht, on August 1st. Everyone here at DB Sports Tours and in particular a very proud David Berber who has seen Adam progress so quickly over the past 12 months especially considering he hardly touched a ball in a competitive fixture due to issues behind his control with his FIFA International cleareance (http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/27666/) wishes Adam all the best as he continues his strong pre-season with Ipswich Town.
