The Manchester Easter Cup or the MEC, caters for all age groups over 1 or 2 day events. The venue of choice would be the former Manchester City academy Platt Lane. The tournament is one of the highlights of the NorthWest region which for some people would be considered the capital of soccer with both treble winning teams Manchester United and Manchester City located close by.

The tournament welcomes teams from around the world; previous editions have seen teams from Ireland, England, Trinidad, Canada, USA, Australia and South Africa. Over 80 teams compete each year.
