January Proves Exciting Month for DB Sports Players

While much of the news here on the DB Sports Tours blog has looked upon trans-Atlantic soccer trips and company development, we certainly have not forgot about the progress of our DB Sports Management work.

Indeed, January has been an action-packed month for many of these players, whom have reached and even surpassed several goals and milestones. The likes of Joe Redmond, Adam McDonnell and Dylan Davidson will all look back upon this January with find memories.

The aforementioned Joe Redmond, a First Year Scholar at Birmingham City, made his under-23 debut. Subsequently Joe was in line to play against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup but unfortunately he suffered a slight knee injury which kept him out of the tie. Redmond (16) previously played for St. Joseph’s Boys AFC, wherein he was very successful winning 2 All Ireland’s and a number of DDSL premier league titles.

Dylan Davidson’s Preston under-18 side took on Everton recently, overturning the blues in an exciting encounter. It was been an important time for the Belfast native’s career, recently speaking to the Preston website following a tough loss to Rochdale.

“It wasn’t one of the best games I’ve had but I’ve got an assist on the board.

“It could have been better though so it’s just important to move on to the next game now.”

The 17-year-old was making just his second appearance for the youth team since returning from a month-long work experience loan at Lancaster FC at the end of November.

“The loan has helped me to gain a lot of experience of real, men’s football because it’s a lot more physical,” explained the attacker. “I got plenty of game time and it was a good experience of first-team football.

“Now I’m back hopefully I can perform for the youth team in same the way I performed for Lancaster.”

And last but most certainly not least we have more news on one of our truly leading starts from DB Sports Management – Adam McDonnell. McDonnell (19) was on the bench last week as Ipswich Town lost to Lincoln City.

Despite the poor loss for his side it has been a stellar year for the Dublin native on a personal level. In the last year alone McDonnell has made his senior debut, made his league debut, and been handed a two-year extension by Mick McCarthy and co.

Above all it has been another tremendous month for our DB Sports associated players plying their trade across the UK and Ireland. To keep up to date with more such positive news then check out our regularly updated blog here.
