30 Nov DB Sports Tours Sign Cypriot Starlet
In what has been a highly anticipated event it can finally be confirmed that DB Sports Tours have signed Panagiotis Artymatas.
Artmatas (16) currently plays for Enosis Neon Paralimni FC, who play in the Cypriot second division.
Artymatas is the Cyprus under-17 captain and has already had an illustrious career, despite his tender years. Artymatas has played for his country under-15, 16, 17 and now under-19 level. He first captained his country at under-15 level and has retained that remarkable feat at under-19 level today.
Artymatas, who primarily players central-defence but often ventures into central-midfield is a powerful and studious player known for his unremitting focus and quality on the ball.
Artymatas has been on the rise in the past 12 months, illustrating what a coup his signing is for DB Sports Tours. Last year the Cypriot youth captain travelled to Chelsea FC for official trials.
Artymatas made his official senior debut in April against Athlitiki Enosi Lemesou, while only 15 years old. Following the 2013/14 season Artymatas was crowned as the best young Cypriot player for the year by the Cypriot FA; a clear sign Artymatas’ quality couldn’t be denied.
Artymatas has an expansive history in the game; his brother Kostakis Artymatas (21) plays for Apoel Nicosia FC and is a Cypriot senior international. Watchers of The Champions League will remembers Apoel Nicosia FC for their historic ventures in last season’s competition, wherein they played against the likes of Barcelona and Ajax.
Artymatas is a huge step forward for DB Sports Tours as their second international signing; the company have recently been recently nominated for the outstanding small business award in the 2015 Small Firms Association finals.
