12 Nov DB Sports Tours Joins Up With Kells Blackwater FC Soccer Tournament
DB Sports Tours are proud to announce their title sponsorship of the 2013 Kells Blackwater FC Annual Pre- Season Soccer Tournament.
The seventh annual Kells Blackwater FC soccer tournament will take place over two weekends in the middle of August – the 10th, 11th,17th and 18th.
Between 1,300-1,500 players from the North East counties of Meath, Louth, Monaghan, and Cavan and midland counties, Offaly and Kildare will be joined by top sides from Westmeath and Dublin at the Grange soccer campus just outside Kells.
This has become the most successful underage pre-season soccer tournament in the region. In it’s first year the tournament had only 35 teams and has grown all the way to a massive 90 teams competing in the 2012 event.
peaking after the tournament, which will saw sides like St Kevin’s Boys, Home Farm, St Francis, Shamrock Rovers and Edenderry Town claim the honors last season Patrick Matthews (Kells Blackwater secretary and tournament organiser) is hoping that the tournament will get more teams then ever before to compete over the two weekends in August.
