Dara O’Shea Awarded Pro Deal at West Brom

It was only a few months ago Dara O’Shea suddenly became a household name among Irish youth football. Having only signed with West Brom months earlier, he scored his first goal for the West Bromwich Albion, and what a strike it was.

The thunderous long-shot afforded young O’Shea (17) some media attention, and with good reason. However, at such a young age many players can suffer with the mounting pressure. Not O’Shea though, who has prospered since his move to West Brom, with the young Irishman being handed his first professional contract this week.

The contract penned keeps him with the Baggies for the coming years, as he hopes to progress through the ranks and hopefully make his Premier League debut before long. In the meantime it’s back to work for O’Shea however, who will look to break into the under-21 side this season and become a dominant figure for the impressive side.

O’Shea is an Irish youth international, last year appearing alongside fellow DB Sports Tours associated players s Trevor Clarke, Jonathan Lunney and Zachary Elbouzedi, Daniel Mandriou for the Republic of Ireland under-18 side for a series of October fixtures.

DB Sports Tours co-founder David Berber was effusive in his praise for O’Shea, saying: “Dara is a fantastic kid, always gives 100%, great attitude and just gets on with the task at hand, He’s a credit to his family and his previous club”.

Everyone here at DB Sport would like to congratulate O’Shea on his new pro deal and all the best of luck for the upcoming season. For more exciting news on the player agency side of the business keep an eye on our busy blog here.
