02 Aug All Invited to Summer Cup Week Two
St. Kevin’s Boys were the victors for weekend one of DB Sports Tours’ staple Irish youth football tournament for both age groups which took part last weekend (U-13 & U-14).
St. Kevin’s Boys are one of Ireland’s leading schoolboy football clubs, often leading the way in terms of development both on the pitch and off it. We here at DB Sports Tours enjoy a strong and healthy relationship with the Dublin schoolboy soccer club and were delighted to see them enjoy success last weekend, when the U-13’s beat St. Joseph’s Boys and the U-14’s beat Mallow United in their respective finals.
The premise of The Summer Cup remains a constant: allowing teams of all abilities, from every corner of the island of Ireland to compete in a youth football tournament in elite facilities.
Indeed, Terenure’s VEC Sports Complex boasts a total of 16 grass pitches on-site, ensuring optimum efficiency for the vast number of teams that compete over the two weekends of play for The Summer Cup.
Next weekend (Aug 4-5) The Summer Cup is back for the second part of the 2018 iteration. As explained in our previous Summer Cup blog here, the second weekend for the youth soccer tournament will see the U-8, U-9 and U-12 play on Saturday (Aug 4), and the U-10 and U-11 play on Sunday (Aug 5).
We would like to invite everyone down for two days of action this coming weekend were over 100 teams are expected to take part, with 36 taking part last weekend, making this year’s total of 136 participating teams a record for the DB Sports Tours’ Summer Cup.
